"Sweet Caroline!"

Because I'm sad and pathetic, I wrote a song about my dearly departed little Chevy Corsica (Caroline). We recently sold her. She was my first born....I mean first owned....and so she meant a lot to me. We went through a lot together. She had over 300,000 km (that's approx 180,000 mi) on her. Drove me to work everyday, road trips, haulin' friends, dates, you name it~she was there for me! She's not only been there for me, but she's meant a lot to most of my good friends. I'm sure they'll miss her too. So in memoriam to my sweet Caroline, this song's for you. (It may resemble a song you once heard before, but I assure you it's a Suze original....I don't plagiarize baby.....maybe they plagiarized off me!....who wouldn't)

My Sweet Caroline

A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that Chevy used to make me smile.
And she knew if she still had juice
That I wouldn't have to cut her loose
Then, maybe, I’d be happy for a while.

But driving her just made me shiver
Face it Suze she just don't deliver.
Bad news hit with this mess;
I couldn’t take one more stress.
I can’t remember if I cried
When she finally took her last joyride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the Chevy died.

So bye-bye, my Sweet Caroline.
Put my Chevy up on Craigslist,
For some poor sap to buy.
The good ol' boy must be drinkin’ whiskey or rye
To be sayin’, "This’ll be the car that I'll buy!
"This’ll be the car that I'll buy!"

Did I write the ad of love,
And did I have faith in God above,
That I'd get rid of that car?
Do you believe someone replied,
Can one possibly want this ride,
And how can I tell him that he won't get far?

Well, I know I was in love with her
But I just didn't know the answer.
It's not like she was shoes.
Man, I dig a pair of new shoes!
But I ain't buyin' shoes without a buck
With a mini van and a new pickup truck,
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the Chevy died.

I started singin’,
Bye-bye, my Sweet Caroline.
Put my Chevy up on Craigslist,
For some poor sap to buy.
The good ol' boy must be drinkin’ whiskey or rye
To be sayin’, "This’ll be the car that I'll buy!
"This’ll be the car that I'll buy!"

So there we were standing in one place,
All ready to take her off my case,
With no time left to start again.
So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick!
Jack hand over cash and not a brick
Cause cash is da Suze’s only friend.

Oh, and as I watched him drive away
My hands clapped and I yelled, "HOORAY!"
No more will I endure
That vehicle's manure!
As we settled for the rest of the night
And turned off the bedroom light,
I heard myself laughing with delight
For today the Chevy SOLD!

I was singing,
Bye-bye, my Sweet Caroline.
Put my Chevy up on Craigslist,
For some poor sap to buy.
The good ol' boy must be drinkin’ whiskey or rye
To be sayin’, "This’ll be the car that I'll buy!
"This’ll be the car that I'll buy!"

THE END~ By Da Suze

Believe it or not, this was my actual ad (It worked, someone called the next day!):

Please find Caroline a new home and owner. She's been a great car that's treated me well over the years. (She was my first car....*tear!) She's a Canadian import, but she loves America! She gets superb gas mileage. $750 OBO

Here's the good things you might wanna know: Approx. 180,000 miles (it's in Kilometers), V-6 3.1 Liter engine, Automatic transmission, Anti-Lock Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Steering, Power locks, Air Conditioning, and a CD Player/ AM/FM Stereo Radio (stock speakers sound really great by the way!). Esthetically she's a Blue, 4 door sedan, with Grey interior with cloth seats. She's also got "newer" tires on her.

The bad part about her is that she needs a good detailing. She was "parked" for a while and during the winter time suffered some internal leakage.....(nothing a good detail job couldn't solve).

She runs, but she does need some maintenance work. So that's why were offering her at such a low price. $750-OBO We just need someone to take her off our hands. PLEASE take her off our hands! We already have 2 family vehicles. As much as it hurts to let her go....we simply must. (*sniff sniff)

Email or call us & ask for Dan (BTW this was posted by his pathetic wife....no way he would EVER name his car and treat it like a human being!)
