I'm Not Allergic To Doggies!

Well my trip to the allergy specialist proved me wrong! It must have been total coincidence that I felt strange after being around doggies and kitties for a while, (having a tight chest and a sore throat) however my tests today proves that I’m not! However it did confirm my feelings of having seasonal allergies. Also I’m allergic to Dust Mites. So I guess when I figured that all these years at the end of winter-during spring and summer when I’d “have a cold”, it was pretty much that I had allergies.
It was a weird experience being poked with 24 types of needles……….well actually 3 more to confirm the pet dander test was negative. Anyone who’s had the tests knows what I’m talking about. The pricks of the needles weren’t bad, but I had to sit with the stuff in my skin for 15 minutes till the tests were done and the nurse is like, “It’s going to itch a little, but you CAN’T SCRATCH THEM”.

Itch a little? Ya right! It itched like a mother! And of course when someone tells you not to do something, you just wanna do it even more, so it was really hard to resist scratching the itch. It was so weird cause the parts of the test that were positive, swelled up like mosquito bites and itched probably 10 times as much! For some strange reason I choose to hum the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” song in my head to distract me………..

………………you’re singing it now aren’t you? Plus when the tests were done, all I got was this cream to put on all the spots that swelled up and it did diddly! Anyways the tests pretty much confirmed that I’m allergic to dust mites, trees & grass.

So now I’ve got a bazillion meds to take starting now until summer ends, not including the ones I have to take every day because of low thyroid, infertility, & low Iron. YEESH!!! I feel like a senior citizen that has to pop certain pills every day at a certain time, and the problem is, I can’t remember to take them. I’ve already forgotten the Iron twice now. Oye!

Anyways I am sleeping better, by the way, and the Iron is supposed to help. But they also upped my pressure on my CPAP and it seems to be doing the trick.

Well Dan’s in NC for surely. It’s such a great opportunity for him. Although his team almost didn’t let him go cause he’s such an VIP right now with all of the stuff he does at work. I think they’re afraid that he’ll “Go Native”………..Don’t worry I didn’t know what it meant either………it means that Epic will want him to work for them and he’ll “turn” against M$. Well no guarantees there M$.......we just might find that we really like NC and want to stay there for a while ………hmmmmm……..we’ll see. I guess that’s one of the reasons I want to go there so badly; to check things out……….just in case. Well I don’t have a flight booked yet so I’m not sure when I’m going, but hopefully it’ll be a great experience for the both of us. I just really want to go to DC!..............you know, the nations capital? Whatedder!
