Now onto other things.
Today I had the great oppotunity to witness something really cool. I took Dan to the Dermatologist for his appointment to go get some lumps that he has in his arms and stomach, removed. The doctor only did 2 today, just to see if Dan can live with the scars; then she'll do more in the future. Anyways we get to her office and I had no idea how long it would take, so I took with me some yarn and my crochet hook to pass the time and make a scarf. Well I was able to come into the room and was able to watch the doctor remove this tissue. It was pretty cool. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I was able to watch her take out a pretty big lump. About the size of a small brussell sprout. It was all bloddy and it looked really gross, but it was really cool! I'm glad I got to see it. It was the highlight of my day!
Anyways I was in the office for probably a total of like an hour and I was able to get a good go on the scarf I was making. The doctor and her assistant were even commenting on how fast I chained. I probably got half a scarf done while I was in there. Actually I told the doctor I was racing her to see who would finish fisrt; me-making the scarf, or her-removing Dan's lumps. I couldn't handle the pressure though and so she won. But she was fast! it was a good competition. OKay so it wasn't really a good contest, but it kept me entertained.
I was so proud of Dan though, (hugs!) cause even though he claims he has a weak stomach, he was able to look at his bloody fat lump when she took it out and he didn't even feel like barfing. Dan claims that when I'm in labor, he might not be able to be there for the delivery, but I think now, he just might be able to handle more than he thinks.
NAH!!!!!!!!!!
Oh ya and by the way I finsihed the scarf today. Not bad for just learning last week. I tell ya though it's an addicting habit, I mean hobby. I've already made 3 scarves! Thanks a lot Deena! They'll make great Christmas presents.
Anyways, I should also mention that I had a great chat with Ana on the phone today. Man I miss her! If it wasn't for the 12 years we spent not keeping in touch she'd be my oldest friend. Well I guess she still is. But anyways, she was always so much fun in high school and we still have a hoot talking today as if she didn't have a husband and 3 children. Although her girls are the funniest kids. A while ago when I sent her my voice acting demo to listen to, her girls heard it and thought it was the most hilarious thing they've ever heard. They made Ana play it over and over and over. Then Ana says that when they were playing with their friends, they'd be quoting it saying over and over, "Stupid Lemons!" and then they'd laugh to themselves!
HILARIOUS!
I guess they're my most devoted fans. Even though I haven't broken into the biz yet, (or ever, at the rate I'm going!) I'll still have Amaya and Makayla as my greatest fans ever! (I hope I've spelled their names right)
Anyways the In-Laws are coming this weekend. Should be fun. As long as my period and un-expected guests stay away, I'll be a happy camper!
